NEW MOON NEWS
Starting the round-up today with a short interview with a TCP-admin favorite. Edi Gathegi talks to VH1 about being on his last Twilight series film, getting to wear SHOES for once, what cardboard animal replaced the fuzzy wolves he had to face, and his one "sparkling" regret.
Though that scene will be Gathegi's last as vampire Laurent, he said he can't be too upset about not returning to the saga. "Honestly, perspective. I'm happy I'm in 'Twilight.' I'm happy I made it to 'New Moon.' Things could be worse."
Thank you, Edi, for portraying Laurent and for having fun with the role, and just for basically being one of the happier cast! :)

People.com has the Volturi up on its site, where Chris Weitz explains his choice of actors to portray the royal trio:
Although Aro and his brothers Marcus (Christopher Heyerdahl) and Caius (Jamie Campbell Bower) have been "alive" for thousands of years, Weitz says he "deliberately" gave them a younger look in the film – for which he credits author Meyer.

"Stephenie was very keen to steer away from a kind of wizard-y look for the vampires," says Weitz. "They do look quite young, but they convey a formality and self-possession, which comes from age."
So I guess this sheds light on the mystery that is JCB's casting?

MTV has a feature on the wolf pack! Kiowa Gordon, Chaske Spencer and hottie Alex Meraz talked about preparing for their roles, the effect of reading blogs, and how things got out-of-hand on the New Moon set.
"I decided, all right, the Wolf Pack stay up all night looking for who's killing people on the res, so we don't sleep very much. So I thought it would be a great idea if I stayed up for 10 days straight." What should have been a simple scene — a confrontation between Bella (Stewart) and the Wolf Pack — became, in Meraz's mind, his "Brando moment." Wanting to try something different, the actor played the scene overly aggressive: screaming, grabbing Stewart by the throat, hurtling his line at her.

"[Director] Chris Weitz comes off-set like, 'Yeah, I like the energy Alex, but just take it down a little,' " Spencer chimed in: "Meanwhile the producers are freaking out back there."

" 'Cause nobody touches Kristen Stewart," joked Meraz.
Kind of intriguing how most of the sites that link to this article (and the title on the page itself) focus on that part. Anyway, more on the wolf pack here.

Also on MTV, Death Cab for Cutie's single on the New Moon OST, "Meet Me on the Equinox", will premiere on MTV.com, the same time as the VMAs.

ECLIPSE NEWS

Eclipse production is really on the move at the moment up in Vancouver, and updates are actually coming in via twitter-friendly director, David Slade.
DAVID_A_SLADE: Shot with Rob and Kristen today, both gave great performances. Lots of frustrating noisy planes overhead but beautiful scene regardless.

DAVID_A_SLADE: http://twitpic.com/fsbf1 - Mr Taylor Lautner. A photo I took during early camera lighting tests. Not a whisker in sight.

DAVID_A_SLADE: Rehearsals with Kristen, Billy Burke and Rob yesterday. Third week of shooting just hours away. Preparation, preparation preparation.

DAVID_A_SLADE: http://twitpic.com/fxb97 - Taylor Lautner Pic from set, yes that is him mid backflip. He does it from standing still.
A peek at Rob on-set as Edward, Kristen on-set as Bella, and the Graduation scene.

VH1 has a feature on the new guys in Eclipse, Jack Huston, Booboo Stewart and Xavier Samuel.

And speaking of new people, remember the character Vera, Rosalie's human best friend with the curly-haired baby boy that Emmett reminded her of? She's apparently going to be played by a contest winner named Sabrina Frank. Read more here.

Eclipsemovie.org also has a bit of speculation on who would be playing the part of Tanya Denali. See the pic here and tell us what you think? Is she a Tanya or isn't she a Tanya? Come to think of it, is Tanya even in Eclipse?

Edit: This just in: The Twilight Lexicon confirms it. There's no Tanya in Eclipse. Bad, rumor mill.

FANDOM NEWS
Twilight Beauty has officially opened its doors... web-wise, at least. The splash page and products look cool and we now have a clearer view of the Volturi crest. The question is, will it sell? (Maybe we should have a local magazine sample the products...)

Jackson Rathbone and the 100 Monkeys might be touring the U.S. after Eclipse wraps according to this news bit.

MTV's Hollywood Crush asks: Is Twilight the ONE movie you would take to the end of the world? Because poll results have yielded a resounding YES. Like the writer, though, we're not so sure that should be the case. (I personally would choose Jim Henson's Storyteller--it's cheating, I know--or Labyrinth. Puppetry is becoming a lost art, and, well, I grew up with the muppets. -minamic) But there are billions of people and lots of movies, so one can bring Twilight and the other billion will take care of the rest. Would you bring Twilight and if not, what movie would you choose to bring, to the end of the world? It's a fun question, so let us know! :)

Block your calendars, fellow Twilighters!

UPDATE (10/15, 6:17PM): Information on how to reserve and buy tickets are now posted. Click here for more info.

We're so excited about New Moon, that we're going to share the news now.

TCP will be sponsoring a blocked screening of the Twilight sequel on the first day of its release at Greenbelt 3. An advanced screening is sadly beyond our resources at the moment, so we hope you won't mind a regular one, since you'll get to watch it with your fellow Twilighters! (No worries about overreactions here, guys. You'll be able to giggle and squeal and swoon to your heart's content.)

So stay tuned to the blog as we iron out the details, including some of the activities we're planning for the screening! And please drop a comment. We'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions (and any questions you might have) for our little "November project". :)

Deja vu? The Volturi have surfaced... again!

Summit went the viral route in promoting the elusive forefront members of the Volturi, so we now have full-body shots of them up on different sites:

All dark, glowering and mysterious. We also see a glimpse of the Volturi crest hanging off the necks of Jane, Aro, and Marcus. (Alec's and Caius' must be hidden inside their coats.) Hm, I know some of us were already spoiled from this "big reveal" *cough*leak*cough* but still, what do you think now that we've officially seen Chris Weitz's interpretation of vampire royalty? (I personally love Dakota Fanning's Jane. -minamic)

In other news, we finally have one sure song that's on the New Moon soundtrack! MTV will premiere Death Cab for Cutie's single, "Meet Me on the Equinox", on September 13, the same day as the VMAs. (Not sure if that means they'll be showing it on the VMAs.)

The Independent has an interview with Kristen Stewart.

And a bit of something old but new, a video interview posted on NewMoonMovie.org on why Stephenie thinks Breaking Dawn should be made into two movies.

Lastly, we know you love Peter Facinelli, a.k.a., Daddy Carlisle Cullen. So go vote for him as Mr. Twitter! Only 4 days left! :D

He surprised all fans when he remarked in his interview with Access Hollywood that he has signed up for three films (instead of the expected two) for the film franchise. Check out the video below where he mentions this (thanks to Rachel of Access Hollywood).

Summit Entertainment in response has sent a statement over to Access Hollywood that BooBoo’s statement on the number of films to be produced “are unfortunately uninformed and not accurate”. Soon afterward, BooBoo Stewart retracted his earlier statement.

Julia Jones talks with SEGN.com about auditioning for the role and on reading the books in the Twilight saga. Get to listen to the interview here.

Other News
One of the TCP admins recently got married (we leave it to you to find out who!) so this is a cute tidbit—In Style asked designers for their respective visions of Bella’s wedding dress. What do you think of the designs given Stephenie Meyer’s own description of the wedding dress?

Here’s a brief article regarding Stephenie Meyer’s choice of music. Also in response to her recent post on the music she enjoyed this summer, MTV reports that the bands she cited like her too :D

Check out these yearbook photos featured in WTForks?! with some of the Twilight cast and Stephenie Meyer herself.

Exclusive Edition for Female Force Stephenie Meyer also in production

Thanks to Darren of Bluewater Productions for this press release.

Bluewater, Dazzled By Twilight to issue exclusive version of “Female Force: Stephenie Meyer”

Bluewater Productions and Twilight-inspired retailer Dazzled by Twilight announced the production of an exclusive edition for the upcoming release of “Female Force Stephenie Meyer.”

Dazzled by Twilight, the largest retailer in Forks, Washington, the town where the fictional characters of Stephenie Meyer’s wildly popular Twilight saga takes place will be the only resource to buy limited-run 32-page version of the Meyer’s biography comic featuring a custom, alternate cover. A special edition poster of the cover will also be available through the store.

“Stephenie Meyer's vibrant storytelling has captured our hearts and the hearts of millions of readers and moviegoers, and we are excited to offer this Dazzled by Twilight Exclusive Edition of Female Force - Stephenie Meyer - direct from the heart of Twilight in Forks, Washington." said Annette Root, the store’s owner.

Female Force: Stephenie Meyer, scheduled for release the same day the movie hits theaters, November 20th. The Dazzled by Twilight edition can only be purchased at the retail location (61 N. Forks Ave, Forks, WA) or Dazzled By Twilight’s online store: www.dazzledbytwilight.com.

“When I visited Forks I was really captured by the warmth of the community and how they have embraced the Twilight books,” said Bluewater’s president Darren G. Davis. “I’m very pleased to join forces with Dazzled by Twilight to bring more attention to this great town.”

The comic, written by Ryan Burton (“Flying Saucers vs The Earth”) examines Meyer’s rise to popularity, her “Twilight” saga novels, the launching of the successful movie franchise and her future plans. According to Burton, a very recognizable and iconic vampire will serve as the story’s narrator.

The title is being drawn by Dave MacNeil and the Dazzled By Twilight cover is painted by Azim Akberali.

Meyer, Named USA Today's "Author of the Year" in 2008, is the first author of fiction featured in the Female Force series. The series, to date, has published biographies on such influential women as Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Palin and Princess Diana.

Female Force offers a broad examination of strong and influential women who are shaping modern history and culture.

The monthly comic book series, launched earlier this year, has drawn considerable media attention, including features on CNN, MTV, MSNBC, Fox News, and “Live with Regis and Kelly.” It has also been featured in such periodicals as People Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Chicago Tribune, USA Today and thousands of blogs and other media outlets.
Be sure to check the TCP site regularly for updates as regards local availability.

News Round-Up: August 20, 2009

Fandango recently posted the second part of their New Moon set visit. They were able to view rehearsals for a Volturi scene, where Jane unintentionally (then intentionally) "tortures" Edward, and Bella looks on in horror. The article described the process the actors went through, and a bit of their facial expressions. (It's actually a bit spoilerish... for that one scene anyway.) The writer was even able to meet with Melissa Rosenberg and series author Stephenie Meyer! Here's a peek:
Pattinson stops in his tracks, arches his head back and expresses a look of excruciating pain. He lets out a grunt, the wires pull him back, and then drop him on his back. A camera that's zoomed in on Jane's face shows her red eyes widen and follow him to the spot on the ground where he falls. She hardly blinks. As Bella begs her to stop, Jane keeps staring, and her lips curve into a faint, smug smile.
Along with the set visit was their exclusive interview with Jamie Campbell Bower.

On MTV:
Chris Weitz's brother, fellow director, Paul Weitz, was interviewed about the uncanny timing which has both them working on different vampire movies. Read it here.

Taylor's New Moon wolf pack brother, Kiowa Gordon, shared a special scene in New Moon that they fondly call "the muffin scene", which, apparently, Taylor didn't partake in.
"When they were eating their funny little muffins, I was standing in the back, all pissed off," Lautner said of the scene, which depicts Jacob as not being too thrilled with the whole imprinting/ turning-into-a-wolf drama. "So I just got to watch them eat their muffins."
And something I found really cute: Kelly Clarkson, who has been very open about her love of Twilight, sang to a cardboard cutout of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen at a concert in Illinois. More on it as well as her thoughts on being a potential artist on the movie soundtrack here.

And thanks to the special people in youtube, you can watch a clip of that part of the concert here. :)

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner shared that they would like to go on American Idol and sing Taylor Swift's "Love Story". The pair showed off their camaraderie while being interviewed during their Entertainment Weekly cover photoshoot. Kristen was particularly light and carefree, a welcome change to the (sexual) tension that seems to persist whenever RPattz is around... Sorry! I just had to go off on a tabloid tangent there.

Anyway, Taylor and Kristen's video interview can be viewed here on EW.com.

While Summit and the Eclipse staff probably haven't even exactly finalized sets for the third movie yet, except apparently for this one for Jasper's flashback scene, people are already needing reassurance for a fourth movie. This article on EOnline says that YES, there will be a Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

HitFix.com has a treat in the form of audio interviews with some of the New Moon cast--Taylor, Rachelle Lefevre, Michael Sheen, Jamie Campbell Bower, Cameron Bright, Charlie Bewley--as well as staff--screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, producer Wyck Godfrey, and stunt coordinator Cam Waldbauer.

Fandom News
Summit has partnered with Creation Entertainment to organize a host of Twilight fan conventions set for the next three years. The first one is set for August 28, in New Jersey, according to Examiner.com. We also posted the news release from Summit. You can read it here.

Uh oh, someone's fed up with the haters. Twilight Examiner Amanda Bell decided to write about her frustration with the media making fun of the fan community just to get them to visit sites or read their posts. (Truly, that is the nature of media: to "sensationalize" and prod people to get a reaction. Negative publicity is still publicity. Sad but true.)

In the latter parts of her piece, she defends:
Twilight fans are not stupid. They are not a definite sub-class or counterculture. They are a diverse group of people, including highly intellectual men and women, who prefer the series for one reason or another - albeit at times, yes, the beauty of the actors and actresses is a part of it. They don't need to be tormented by the vicious tongues of writers who disagree with their opinions, and they certainly do not need to be categorized as infantile, insatiable, and unreasonable. Instead, perhaps a little respect can be shown by writers by presenting fans with unadulterated information and facts - sans the misbegotten humor ploys.
Bravo, Amanda Bell, for being brave enough to stand up to the closed-minded ones. :) You can read the rest of her article here.

HitFix has uploaded the second New Moon trailer in its site, entitled "Meet Jacob Black". This is the same trailer (or featurette, but most pertain to it as a trailer) as was shown in the movie Bandslam! (and was also leaked online). Yahoo! also features the trailer and is wondering whether this will cause people to switch camps (LOL). Also, MTV's Larry Carroll lists 5 things that we have yet to see from New Moon based on the footages that we've seen so far.

Stephenie Meyer has just updated her blog, sharing what she did last summer. Click here to view her book, music, and movie recommendations.

Robert Pattinson reveals his constant dilemma --- he cannot stay in the same place for more than 20 minutes because of the "Twitter girls" (okay, now I pity the guy - mabelletaka). He also shares in the interview with Daily Record his public life and how uncomfortable he is watching himself on screen.

Be informed about the charitable efforts of the Twilight cast as MTV gives a rundown of the actors and their respective charities.

News Round-Up: 13 August 2009

Those who would not mind getting their EQ shot would be excited over a leak of the New Moon trailer which was online since yesterday in French. MTV reports that a new scene in this trailer which was not previously released is a look at Dakota Fanning as Jane (I won't mention other scenes I saw in case you don't want to be spoiled - mabelletaka). Summit Entertainment is reported to be pulling out the videos online due to copyright claims.

Speaking of new scenes, Empire posted an announcement that two new scenes from New Moon will be shown during the weekend at Movie-Con II. Hopefully, we also get to see footages of the event online so that us non-US fans can get in the action. Empire says that these two new scenes include 1.) brooding and 2.) pining for an absent true love. So just speculate on what those two scenes might be!

ET showed behind the scenes footage on Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner's photoshoot for the cover of Entertainment Weekly. You can watch the video here.

As we reported, Jack Huston is set to play Royce King II in New Moon. Get to know more about him and his upcoming projects here.

Welcome Catalina!

Hot on the heels of Jack Huston's casting news... ET Online reports that Catalina Sandino Moreno has been tapped to portray Maria, the vampire that created a newborn army during the southern vampire wars. She was also the one who sired Jasper.

[minamic: The news report also states that Jack Huston will be playing Riley. Jack will actually be playing Royce King II (as stated in the post below) and Riley will be played by Xavier Samuel.]

Looks like we're going to have both backstories filling in some of the blanks on the Cullens in Eclipse! Can't wait!

Welcome Jack Huston!

Twilight Saga: Eclipse now has its Royce King II in the person of actor Jack Huston. (Source: The Hollywood Reporter) Royce was Rosalie Hale's wealthy banker-fiancé... and subsequently the reason she had to become one of the gorgeous undead. This means we'll be seeing that particular backstory in the third movie.

Welcome to the crazy world of Twilight, Jack!

14-second New Moon teaser!

Off the Twilight Lexicon: The full New Moon theatrical trailer will premiere with Summit's new movie, Bandslam, starring Disney babies Vanessa Hudgens and Aly Michalka, Lisa Kudrow and David Bowie. Bandslam will open on August 14 (this Friday in the U.S.) We're not sure if the same will apply locally, however, so we'll just update you about that after we find out more info.

Meanwhile, a 14-second preview of the trailer is now online! It has Jake reassuring Bella that he'll never hurt her, and we get another look at the shirtless scene! See it on Twilight Source or at the Twilight Lexicon.

“TWILIGHT” IN THE SPOTLIGHT: STEPHENIE MEYER FEATURED IN “FEMALE FORCE” BIO COMIC

In time for the November theatrical release of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” Bluewater Productions announced it is producing two versions of an upcoming biography comic on best selling author Stephenie Meyer.

“Female Force: Stephenie Meyer”, scheduled for release right before the movie hits theaters on, November 20th, provides readers two options: a standard 22-page version and a double-sized collector’s edition that contains a variety of extras.

“We get to turn the tables on Meyer and she becomes the featured protagonist,” said Bluewater’s president Darren G. Davis. “And we are going to tell her story in a very fun, respectful and unique way.”

The comic, written by Ryan Burton (“Flying Saucers vs. The Earth”) examines her rise to popularity, her “Twilight” saga novels, the launching of the successful movie franchise and her future plans. According to Burton, a very recognizable and iconic vampire will serve as the story’s narrator.

“It's an equally strange and great feeling to write about an author of this magnitude, especially in a format that's near and dear to my heart. I think it's brilliant that Stephenie Meyer's story will be read by both fans of her work, and fans of the comic book medium,” Burton said.

The alternate 40-page collector’s edition will include the history of Forks; the Washington peninsula town where her stories take place as well as other bonus material not found anywhere else.

The title is being drawn by Dave Macneil and Vinnie Tartamella provides the cover art.

“Female Force” offers a broad examination of strong and influential women who are shaping modern history and culture.

“Stephenie Meyer has captured the imagination of millions. She has parlayed her stories into a cottage industry and that’s why we felt she was indeed a “Female Force’,’” Davis added. “Also, I’m hooked on the books like everyone else!”

Davis notes other prominent and influential female authors, business executives, entertainers, journalists, politicians and activists are currently in development.

The monthly comic book series, launched earlier this year, has drawn considerable media attention, including features on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and “Live with Regis and Kelly.” It has also been featured in such periodicals as People Magazine, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, USA Today and thousands of blogs and other media outlets.

News from the Twilight Lexicon and Jodelle Ferland's Official fansite confirms the actress' involvement with third movie, Eclipse:
Its official! Jodelle has been cast in the Twilight Saga, The 3rd Film, Eclipse! she will playing The Newborn Vampire! We are really excited for her. How so many of you had petitioned for Jodelle to be cast as Jane, and now she gets to work alongside the cast and Dakota Fanning who was cast as Jane for New Moon.
And if you haven't checked out Jodelle Ferland's Twitter account yet, she excitedly confirmed it herself:
Oh by the way, the secret that I told everybody about yesterday is now all over the web so I may as well say it. I'm going to be in Eclipse!
Congratulations and welcome to the crazy world of Twilight, Jodelle! :)

In other news, Paramore's "Decode" has been nominated for BEST ROCK VIDEO in the MTV Video Music Awards. So, give them some love and vote! They're up against some very tough competition from Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Green Day and Kings of Leon.

ETOnline has an interview with screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who's currently working on Eclipse, same as everyone. They couldn't resist asking her opinion about Rachelle's departure:
ET: What do you think of the recasting of Rachelle Lefevre?

Melissa Rosenberg: I love Rachelle, but Bryce Dallas Howard? It was a shame, but I think Rachelle will go on to do brilliant things. I just love her. I am sure Bryce will be great.
Link to the short interview here.

Twilight Tweeters
Was prowling the twitter world this morning. Sharing some cast tweets:

billy_burke: On the set of the indy movie i'm squeezing in before Eclipse. The guy I'm playing could kick a vampire's ass with his mind. (and a lunchbox)

RachelleLefevre: "Funny People" is a great film if you haven't seen it. Really funny and very touching. Highly recommended.

peterfacinelli: Just finished two hours of fight training for Eclipse. Now if anyone messes with me I can pretend to kick their ass really well.

jodellemicah: In all the excitement of finally being allowed to say I'm in Eclipse, I forgot to have breakfast. My stomach is reminding me. ;)

MOVIE and CAST NEWS
With New Moon looming on the horizon, Eclipse, apparently, isn't very far behind.

Variety.com reports a new addition to the Eclipse cast: Jodelle Ferland. No details on who she's playing, except that it will be a "vampire who has been turned". Maybe we're seeing our future Bree? What do you think?

In any case, if she's joining the Twilight franchise, maybe you'll be interested in following her twitter account, where she shares this little tidbit. Hmm... curiouser and curiouser. Gotta expect another Summit announcement in the next few days.

As for the rest of the cast, they have landed in Vancouver, everyone! Kellan, Elizabeth, Nikki, Ashley, as well as Twilight newbies, Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel, were caught on cam arriving at the airport. Pictures are here on Twilight Indonesia. No Kristen and Robert sightings yet, however, RobPattzNews on Twitter has spotted him at LAX, so at least he's back from New York!

Rachelle Lefevre is auctioning Twilight items, some signed by the rest of her castmates, for favored charity School on Wheels. She is also donating $100 to Susan G. Komen for The Cure (breast cancer research) for every 10,000 people who follow her on Twitter. More here.

Though we've been deprived of MTV's Twilight Tuesdays this year, they still continue to look for Twilight stuff for us fans. At TwiCon, they caught up with Jackson Rathbone, who described a bit more of New Moon's "intense birthday scene".
Rathbone: Yeah, there's a little bit more violence. It's definitely longer. It's really about the moment where Bella is realizing what kind of world she's into. We spent the entire time with "Twilight" delving into the vampire world, but now in "New Moon," it's like you're in the vampire world, and what happens when you get a paper cut? What happens when everyone you love turns around on you and suddenly could kill you? She's in that world right now, and she's kind of scared by it. She's also getting into the werewolf world, and suddenly she's got these two new worlds on her — and there's love in both. It's an amazing script.
Remember how Chris Weitz said there are no nude Volturi in New Moon. Let's have another go at it: There's No Nudity in New Moon.

My fellow admins are going to absolutely LOVE this, but, in Danag Podcast Episode 16, we touched up on how Taylor must have convinced Chris Weitz to let him play Jacob, and see how close we were:
Weitz: When I first met with him, I took off my shirt and I said, "You've got two months to look this good." And he said, "I'm willing to try that." Finally, he came back, and the results were just about as good as my abs.

MTV
: You must have a real six-pack.
He also mentioned Dakota's acting prowess and how they wanted "force-ghost" Edward to turn out... which isn't so "force-ghostey", we hope. Read more here.

He may not be a werewolf, but "Emmett", Kellan Lutz, can definitely hold his own among Jacob and his team, abs-wise (Vampire represent!), and he didn't have to show it to Chris Weitz! His secret to maintaining his physique on MSNBC.com here.

Curious about the 2010 New Moon calendar? MTV has a peek at all the gorgeousness here.

Recently, Stephenie Meyer has again been accused of plagiarism. Jordan Scott alleged that a lot of scenes from Breaking Dawn matched up to an online piece of fiction she wrote when she was 15 years old, among them, the wedding, the baby, and the fact that both heroes call their heroines "love".
Hachette Book Group said in a statement that Meyer's books "have been a phenomenal sensation" and that "it shouldn't be surprising to hear that other people may seek to ride the coattails of such success."

Fan Feedback: New Moon Promotional Events

We all know that New Moon is only a few months from now, and while the administrators of Twilight Coven Philippines are thinking (and dreaming) of activities on TCP's end to celebrate the release of the film, we want to hear YOUR comments and suggestions! So what we're asking is:

If we were to celebrate the release of the New Moon film, what kind of activities would you like to have?

And thought your gut instinct tells you to say an advanced screening/premiere, do let us know of other possible activities, big or small, unless you're willing to give us money for a premiere ;) Post away in the comments section of this entry :D

We're not promising that we'll be able to put up a grand event or execute all of your suggestions. For now, we really just want to know what you want. But rest assured that we will give this our best shot and we will try to organize something so that we can celebrate the movie together.

CAST NEWS
Looks like things are starting to get ugly. Rachelle Lefevre is reportedly suing Summit Entertainment for breach of contract, after suddenly being replaced as Victoria in the third Twilight sequel.

On a related note, Rachelle thanked her fans on her twitter account for being supportive.
@RachelleLefevre I am so touched by all your responses and feel incredibly blessed to have fans like you. From the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU.
When asked by MTV on their thoughts about Rachelle's departure, both Peter Facinelli and Jackson Rathbone remained diplomatic. They did express how they will miss her for Eclipse. More on it here.

MTV.com spoke to Caius, or rather, Jamie Campbell-Bower and he dished about the Volturi having a "nude scene" in New Moon.
"We just all sit there, completely naked, for one scene," revealed "New Moon" actor Jamie Campbell Bower, talking about a racy moment that was added into the upcoming film. "Yeah, it's me, Michael Sheen and Christopher [Heyerdahl]; we just sit there, naked."
JCB was apparently only joking, New Moon director, Chris Weitz, was quick to reassure. In a message to the international fansites sent by Summit Entertainment after JCB's "revelation", Chris wrote:
Dear all,
I would like to put everyone’s mind at rest and let them know that the Volturi are not naked! Jamie (Campbell-Bower) has what you might call a dry sense of humor and almost managed to convince me — which is why he’ssuch a good actor. Anyway, be assured that, even though we do want the look of the Volturi to be a bit of a surprise, they are always — as in the book! — fully clothed.
best,
Chris Weitz
Jamie, himself, just recently, tweeted his apologies.
@Jamiebower: Apologies for misleading people into thinking that there would be a nude scene in New Moon. Never meant it to offend anyone. Sorry. X
[minamic: Don't worry, JCB! We were hardly offended. (Right?) In fact, I think people were even hoping for it! Especially this one guy we know... :P]

New Moon's recent addition, Tinsel Korey, who plays Emily, granted an interview to the Twilight Lexicon. Learn more about her here.

Here's one for CdL and all you Carlisle/Peter Facinelli fans: Examiner's Exclusive Interview where he talks about Eclipse and Carlisle getting to do some action for a change.

MTV has an interview with Twilight-inspired trio, The Bella Cullen Project, who will be performing at the Dallas TwiCon. Read about their new video here.

Stephenie Meyer has sparked the reincarnation of the vampire genre, such that vamps are the special feature (and cover) of Entertainment Weekly's recent issue. I heard they made Tom Cruise's Lestat the top bloodsucker. If you disagree, they still have a poll up on their site, where, naturally, our Edward is leading.

Wanna have that "vampire glow"? Fans will get to feel like a Cullen with Twilight Beauty, the official cosmetic line for Twilight. See the site here. To be launched August 17th, at present, the site only fronts a splash page with character and future product shots, and linked logos to what I assume will be their two brands: Luna and Volturi. Interesting how their gloss?... Or is that cheek+lip tint?... is named "Venom".

MOVIE and SITE NEWS
Images from the New Moon calendar have been posted online and can be viewed through ROBsessedpattinson.com. Unfortunately, no movie stills this time. Instead, each month features the same gorgeous headshots you can see on the movie's official site. A pensive, extremely and starkly golden-eyed Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen is the September calendar's flavor of the month.

And since we've touched up on the site, if you haven't visited it lately, there have been some updates! Firstly, the links to the Official Store on Amazon as well as that to The World of Twilight are now up! The latter, particularly, can let you send specially-designed Twilight E-cards by Hallmark... for that special Edward or Bella in your life. Or... even... James! [minamic: The James e-card mockup on the flash intro cracks me up for some reason. *winks at Mabs*]

You can also visit the Twilight MySpace Community and download the New Moon widget on that site.

Of note on The World of Twilight is the button leading to Eclipse's future webpage, which states the date of the movie's release next year: 6-30-2010. Wow.

The site also has the New Moon movie's worldwide release date in different countries listed. Ours currently says November 20, 2009. However, as the promo materials posted locally presently says November 25, 2009, we're opting for a "wait-and-see" stand about the actual Philippine premiere date. Basically, we'll wait for word from the distributor.
