Pinoy Twilight "Takipsilim" is a Go According to ABS-CBN News.
Good morning everyone! And what a sad morning it is with the news that yes, we are now almost 95% sure that a Filipino remake of Twilight is real. (The remaining 5% is us vainly clinging to the hope that Santa will come down our relative chimneys tonight and yell "Surprise! It's fake!") Check out the little ditty over at the ABS-CBN news site.Filipino fans of Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" series will soon have another reason to celebrate after broadcasting giant ABS-CBN bagged the exclusive rights to make a local television series based on the vampire novels.
Initial reports said ABS-CBN paid $1 million with co-producer Ignite Media for the rights to the Twilight series.
The new series, tentatively titled "Takipsilim", will reunite the onscreen tandem of Rayver Cruz and Shaina Magdayao.
Taping for the series will start February of next year. Some parts of the series will be shot abroad and the other locations include Tagaytay, Bukidnon and Baguio. The series will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
I am not sure that a "celebration" is in order, ABS-CBN. But whatever. You have the money to do whatever you want, right? We just can't believe Summit Entertainment and Stephenie Meyer actually approved the idea.

hello, guys. i know you hate the idea. but why dont we just look at the bright side of it; that StephMeyer and Bella and the Cullens and Jacob had inspired a lot of hearts, enough to make a Filipino version. Why don't we give them little chance? ABSCBN might have a knack for changing/altering some things, but they're also known for airing good soaps, and they use good special effects. let's judge it after the first few weeks of airing. After all, if it's that bad, it definitely wont work...

I really hope ABS will think about this very carefully! The book is really good and i actually enjoyed the movie.. Pls. let us save the saga from becoming a disaster! none of the people are bagay for the twilight movie... they don't portray what the readers see as the characters of the book and THE AMERICAN VERSION of the movie.. the movie by directed by hardwicke was a good portrayal.. the people were perfect.. i don't know about these ones they look too old (ie gabby.. carlisle is supposed to look young and this edward needs to be changed he isn't at all the way hes supposed to look he isn't that cute. and bella isn't supposed to look better than edward.. fyi..) that is all for now
