Reminders for TCP Block Screening Ticket Holders

Here are some reminders for all those who availed of tickets for our Breaking Dawn Part 1 Block Screening:

1. The screening is at 7:35PM (not 7:00PM as we initially announced; Ayala Cinemas changed the sked) of Friday, November 18th, at Greenbelt 3 Cinema 5.

2. We're going to have a raffle before the screening! We're going to give away Breaking Dawn movie posters, Twilight-related books, Esprit watches, and other cool items from our generous sponsors. So make sure you're at the venue 15 minutes before the screening time so that your ticket number will be included in the raffle pool.

3. Although we guarantee that every ticket holder will be seated, the choice of seats is still on a first-come first-serve basis. If it's any consolation, though, all of the seats in Cinema 5 are strategically placed and will likely not cause eye-strain or stiff neck. :P

4. If you're part of the 1st batch of people who claimed their tickets, you likely were issued only the TCP special ticket, since Ayala Cinemas hadn't issued the cinema passes then. You need to claim your cinema passes to be able to enter Cinema 5. Please proceed to the TCP Registration Table outside Cinema 5 and look for a TCP Administrator. We'll be there starting 6:30pm.

5. If you deposited your ticket payments to our bank account and opted to claim your tickets at the venue, please proceed to the TCP Registration Table outside Cinema 5 and look for a TCP Administrator. We'll be there starting 6:30pm.

That's it! Should you have any questions, please leave a comment or send us an e-mail at tcppromos(at)gmail(dot)com. See you!

Twilight Coven Philippines' Block Screening of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1" is supported by Pioneer Films, Hachette Book Group USA (Phils.) and New Trends International (distributor of Esprit watches).

The TCP Administrators would also like to thank Ayala Cinemas for their assistance.

Rob, Kristen and Taylor's Handprint Ceremony at Grauman's Chinese Theater

The Twilight Trio are finally immortalized in cement! Well, their hand and shoeprints at least, although a Han-Solo-in-carbonite similarity did cross my mind. Anyway, I know some people stayed up late to watch the ceremony, emceed by Jimmy Kimmel. But for those of us who needed our beauty sleep, here's a video of the event on youtube by Clevver TV.

Below is the coverage of Access Hollywood. (Thanks to Rachel Reiss of NBCUNiversal for the link!)

Looks like Twilighters can now add Grauman's Chinese Theater to their list of Twilight pilgrimage sites.

Summit's Twilight Time Capsule

As the movies for the Twilight Saga are slowly winding down, Summit Entertainment has decided to create an interactive experience shaped around the fans, the reason why the series has become the phenomenal franchise it is today.

It's called the Twilight Time Capsule, a flash-based site that lets people share photos, videos and comments about being part of the huge Twi-fandom. So far, there have been photos of collections of Twilight items, fanvids and lots and lots of tweets on the books and movies.

The site submissions can be organized via timeline (from when the first movie was released in 2008) and incorporates popular social and media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Photobucket and Instagram, so it's easy to post and log in.

Instructions are accompanied by a welcome/demo video narrated by Nikki Reed (Rosalie).
I think it's great that Summit was able to think up a fan-centric site. Kind of wondering how they're going to accommodate all the submissions though, and if they're going to take all the data and seal it under the ground somewhere like a traditional time capsule for future generations to discover. Anyway, you can access the Twilight Time Capsule at www.twilighttimecapsule.com

A Friendly Reminder Regarding "Breaking Dawn" Screenings

It's that time again, Twilighters! "Breaking Dawn Part 1" is just around the corner, and you are probably starting to come across lots and lots of ads for special screenings and promos for the movie.

But before you decide to buy any tickets, please take note of the terms associated with these special screenings and their definitions.

---
A "Premiere" showing of a film is normally sponsored or endorsed by the Official Distributor of the film (in our case, Pioneer/Cinestar Films) or their cinema/merchandising partner. It's usually the first screening of a film in a particular country, and is scheduled before the national opening release date. Tickets to a Premiere rarely go on sale, as the screenings are usually By Invitation (Press / VIPs / special guests). If anyone sells you a "premiere" ticket, verify the authenticity with the cinema where the screening will be held and ask them if tickets are really for sale.

An "Advance Screening" may be sponsored by a cinema or an organization/company, and is usually scheduled a day or two before the opening release date. Tickets to an Advance Screening usually sell for higher than the general admission price, as the organizers normally use these as fundraisers. The rights to screen the film early are also costly.

A "Special Midnight Screening" is normally held by cinemas on midnight of the opening release date. Tickets to these screenings usually cost the same as a regular screening ticket as, technically, you're already paying for a regular screening anyway.

A "Block Screening", such as the one TCP is sponsoring, is normally scheduled during the first regular screening day or throughout the opening weekend. Organizers reserve all the seats in a theater and sell tickets. These are usually company screenings for employees or fundraisers by smaller organizations. Or screenings where a bunch of fans just want the theater all to themselves so they can squee to their hearts' content without anyone judging them. ;)
---

Remember: The Philippine Release Date of "Breaking Dawn Part 1" is Friday, 18 November.

Please take note of the distinctions as some ticket sellers may falsely advertise their events (consciously or unconsciously).

If you come across any ads and want to make sure they are legitimate events, send us the link or details and we can look into them for you. All the promos and ads that we put on the TCP Blog and social networks have been previously verified with credible sources if they weren't sent to us by the legitimate organizers/advertisers.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Wins at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards

It's just like Kristen said: "We have the greatest fans ever."

The 2011 MTV Movie Awards was held last Sunday (Monday, locally) and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and its cast ran off with 5 of those cute popcorn buckets!

Best Movie: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Best Male Performance: Robert Pattinson
Best Female Performance: Kristen Stewart
Best Fight: Robert Pattinson, Bryce Dallas Howard, Xavier Samuel
Best Kiss: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

RPattz was most hilarious throughout the show -- throwing nervous quips left and right and KISSING TAYLOR LAUTNER (yes, people, you read that right) instead of Kristen upon winning Best Kiss -- such that he was inadvertently christened with an unofficial "Movie Awards MVP" title by the MTV Behind-the-Scenes liveblog. Later on, he also went up on stage to help Patrick Dempsey and Chelsea Handler present his recent co-star, Reese Witherspoon, with the Generation Award.

Congratulations to everyone for all their hard work and their intense clicking! I know some people just slaved over their mouses the week before the big day!

After the awards ceremony, actors Peter Facinelli, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz and Gil Birmingham, and Eclipse director David Slade tweeted their thanks to the fans.

If you want to catch up on what you missed at the movie awards, you can go to Rob Pattinson News UK for their very extensive post filled with photos and videos. (It's VERY image heavy, so, don't be surprised if your browser fails.)

Breaking Dawn Trailer Debut

After a couple of slip-ups where people were able to view the teaser trailer earlier (oops), the first look at November's movie, Breaking Dawn, was released on IMDb. It gave us glimpses of:

  • The INVITE! -- Here's a closer look at Edward & Bella's wedding invitation from MTV.
  • A WEDDING! (and who was lucky enough to be on that darn guest list...)
  • People freaking out over the wedding.
  • The HONEYMOON!
  • More of the honeymoon! (Rio! Breaking headboards! Water kisses!)
  • STILL MORE of the honeymoon. (Really, people, just watch it.)
  • And yes, it also presented a bit of THAT part in Breaking Dawn that had our eyes bugged out and we screamed, "WHAAAT?!"
Of course, you know what I mean about the last part.

You can watch the EXCLUSIVE, and I'm assuming OFFICIAL, ONLINE TRAILER DEBUT here on IMDb. How excited are we???
