Access Hollywood: "New Moon" Premiere Videos

The Twilight Saga: New Moon had its red carpet premiere in Los Angeles yesterday (Manila Time), and Access Hollywood got to talk to the three main stars of the film.

As always, thanks to Rachel of Access Hollywood for these great videos!

News Round-Up: November 12, 2009

It's only 8 days til New Moon! There are a lot of local promos currently celebrating the movie's release this month, so if you want to participate in some of them, check out our tagged posts! Who knows? You might get lucky and even win premiere tickets!

---

If you haven't caught up with the stories from last week's Twilight Saga: New Moon press junket, click here for our last news round-up where all the links have been organized. :)

Our fellow fans from Twilighters Malaysia were lucky to have experienced the Tokyo fan event with Robert Pattinson and Chris Weitz! Go here to view their pics and read about their exciting Twilighter adventure.

Likewise, friends from Twilight Singapore have also shared their member's coverage from the Tokyo fan event which you can view here and here.

Thanks to the admins from Twilighters Malaysia and Twilight Singapore! :)

For the rest of the latest Twilight news on the net:

Chuck the Movie Guy has videos of his interviews with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner on his channel on Youtube.

Popsugar has posted their video interview with Robert Pattinson, where he talks about "The One", Edward's humor and the NM soundtrack.

EW's Popwatch has a short article on Alex Meraz's guesting on Rachel Ray, and he is also featured on Fear.net, where he talks about his scene with Kristen!

Moviehole.net has an interview with Taylor Lautner.

About.com has an exclusive interview with Ashley Greene!

The Twilight Lexicon has posted an interview producer Wyck Godfrey did with MakingOf.com.

Yet again, a bunch of stuff over on MTV.com:
Is KStew Team Edward or Team Jacob? Taylor also gives his two cents worth on which side you should be on. This story is also on MTV's Hollywood Crush sub-site.
RPattz wants Gus Van Sant for Breaking Dawn?
Dakota Fanning enjoyed playing a bad girl in New Moon.
You want Chris Weitz to direct Breaking Dawn? Me, too!

I wasn't able to link to this the last time (since I filled most of that round-up with junket links), but if you haven't seen it yet, they've covered the piece where Taylor Swift spoofs Twilight on Saturday Night Live. (She also mentioned Taylor Lautner during her monologue--so cute!--but you'll have to Youtube that one, I think. It won't be hard to find.) Speaking of SNL, don't hold out on Robert Pattinson doing a stint on it anytime soon, according to this MTV news bit.

MTV also has coverage/pics of the New Moon cast tour in Virginia, New Jersey, and Illinois.

If your room isn't full of magazines yet, here's another one to look out for: EW's cover with the Twilight trio.

Finally, peeps, Twilight has been nominated for The People's Choice Awards, and yes, we can participate! So go and vote here! (Oh, and in case you don't have a personal preference for Choice TV Comedy or Choice TV Comedy Actor, we highly recommend The Big Bang Theory and Jim Parsons!)

Access Hollywood Press Junket Interviews: NM Werewolves

Thanks to Rachel Reiss of Access Hollywood!

News Round-Up: October 26, 2009

Episode 19 of the Danag podcast will be up this week, where we cover Sam Bradley's Philippine mall tour, the New Moon soundtrack, and a teeny bit of the movie companion (no spoilers, promise!)

Also, thanks to the peeps who claimed their tickets for the blocked screening last Saturday! Our next claiming date will be this Halloween, October 31. :) Wow, it's less than a month 'til New Moon!

And yet, the biggest news recently has been Eclipse-related. Summit has unveiled the title logo for the third movie on their official Twilight twitter account.

Now this logo is the most vampiric-looking of 'em all. Very David Slade. What do you think?

Eclipse is also in the process of wrapping up and heading for post-production. Only a few scenes left to shoot, and then it's the huge promotional rollercoaster for New Moon for the cast, starting with the "Twilight Saga: New Moon" (U.S.) City Cast Tour. Added reasons to go besides the "stargazing": performances by some of the artists on the OST, and special access for the few who acquire VIP cred. (We only wish we could experience this.)

On MTV.com: The Vampire's Assistant actor says that Cirque du Freak's vamps are cooler than Twilight's. (Before you go all ballistic, though, click on the link and read the article first!) Also, Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen was inspired by James Dean.
" 'Rebel Without a Cause' was a big influence on the first ['Twilight' film] — it influenced the hairdo and stuff," Pattinson told USA Today. "In lots of ways, it has a very similar character arc: An everyday girl brings this relatively strange individual out of his slump."

Pattinson said he doesn't understand his appeal to young women, and even as his star continues to shine brighter and brighter each day, he's still not used to all the attention. "I'm not entirely sure what it is," he said. "I'll probably realize afterward how I could have controlled it a little bit more. But I am still like a deer in headlights."
Ah, funny how he described himself. That's exactly how I thought he looked like on the cover of USA Weekend.

tMF discusses Chris Weitz and what he can bring to the Twilight franchise. And if New Moon turns out well, would you consider him to direct Breaking Dawn?

More wolf pack meaty-goodness for you: Vanity Fair has an interview with Chaske Spencer. And if you missed it (like we did), they also have interviews with Alex Meraz and Kiowa Gordon.

Will the New Moon soundtrack be as successful as the Twilight one? Hitfix.com predicts it will be number one by this week on the Billboard charts, but will soon be eclipsed (no pun intended) by MJ.

In the meantime, if you were wondering why and how songs and artists were chosen for the soundtrack, read New Moon Rising: The Billboard Cover Story on Billboard.com. It's a good read and very enlightening (and for those asking, explains why Rob doesn't have a song in it.) Some excerpts:
"Keeping it as a combination of obviously great artists -- but making it interesting for people to discover -- was a very carefully considered view," Katz says.
This love triangle forms the plot of "New Moon," and accordingly the soundtrack is moody and wistful, but with an undercurrent of strum und drang machismo. Each song is exclusive to the soundtrack, as-yet-unreleased, and most were written specifically for the movie, remixed or given new lyrics to fit the film's themes. "I was very inspired by the John Hughes movies of the '80s, which made me listen to indie rock bands that probably weren't meant for 13-year-olds: Yello, the Psychedelic Furs, New Order," says music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas, who also produced the album, as she did for the soundtrack to "Twilight." "Hopefully we can create a similar moment in time for 2009 teenagers."
New Moon Spoiler Alerts! EXTRA has a sneak peek of a cute parking lot moment for Edward and Bella. Thanks to the fans who've uploaded it up on Youtube! :)

A recent TV spot of the movie is up on ETOnline. [Is it me or are their bylines getting more cliche than Twilight's? -minamic]

We end this round-up with a link to the People's Choice Awards. The site is just asking for nominations, and Twilight can be up for five categories, so go and show our fandom some love!

News Round-Up: 17 April 2009

MTV got confirmation from Drew Barrymore herself that, though she was one of several directors who were being considered to direct Eclipse, ultimately, she wasn't the one who was chosen.

MTV's Larry Carroll asks the question "Is there any truth to all the tales of Twilight-related violence on the web?" Larry has asked Twilight fans to share their experiences. This article comes at the heels of all the reports from other sites who have picked up the stories being posted at the Twilight Sucks site. [I've seen that message board. Sigh. No comment.   -CdL]

It's a girl for Cam Gigandet and Dominique Geissendorf! Congrats! [We're sure Mabs is happy for them too. ;)   -CdL]

The Deadbolt had a Vancouver encounter with Peter Facinelli. [OMC, Peter should win that award some group gives to actors who are very accommodating of fans. I forgot what it's called, but I remember Johnny Depp won it several times.   -CdL]

Entertainment Tonight visited the New Moon set, and they've posted a teaser video for the feature which will air April 23 in the U.S. Watch for it locally on 2nd Avenue on April 24th.

Well, this is interesting. E! Online interviewed Alex Meraz at the Armani Exchange party. And I guess the "Rob smells" thing isn't over and done with for them yet, so they asked Alex if it was true. Apparently, when Alex first met Rob, here's what happened:

ALEX to ROB: Dude, you smell fantastic!
ROB: *blushes, does the hair thing*

This is probably going to fuel some Paul/Edward fanfics or something. LOL. Watch the short clip here.

Oh, and if you haven't gotten enough of Alex today (we're sure you haven't), Access Hollywood sent us another video of him talking about life on set:

Again, thanks so much to Rachel of Access Hollywood for this. :)

Access Hollywood: Alex Meraz talks "New Moon"

And this is everyone's cue to watch and squee.

Thank you to Rachel of Access Hollywood!

News Round-Up: 2 April 2009

Twilight as expected is not immune to the pranks played during April Fool's Day--- from the amusing to the absurd ones. MTV focused on the reports by some sites that Robert Pattinson pulled out from New Moon.

Kellan Lutz now joins the shirtless bandwagon as he poses for Flaunt magazine. See the pictures in Celebuzz here. And from one shirtless guy to another, Celebuzz also has more on Alex Meraz...and his wife. [Fine, bring on more shirtless guys, I don't hear anyone complaining - mabelletaka]

Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson is also lending his singing chops to the soundtrack of How To Be. ET Online reports that he will contribute three songs to the soundtrack. Sam Bradley, who co-wrote Never Think with Robert Pattinson, was interviewed by The Examiner on his upcoming projects.

USA Today has an exclusive on Kristen Stewart as she promotes Adventureland. She also reveals her experience in Twilight and how large group of girls scare her. [No, she's serious, well she's right in saying that Robert's situation is worse - mabelletaka]

News Round-Up: 1 April 2009

This one's for the ladies... and Twilight Gay, of course: Celebuzz has an article listing 7 Things We Need To Know About Alex Meraz. Click the link, and please try not to stop breathing. :p

LaineyGossip has some photos of Kristen and Taylor on-set. [Oh dear. I think I like Kristen's wig from Twilight better.   -CdL]

Kristen was interviewed by The LA Times, where she commented on how different New Moon is from Twilight.

Another indication of how scary the Twilight fandom can be for the people involved in the franchise: Rene Haynes, the casting director for New Moon, has been getting emails and phone calls from fans around the world... even at 3 A.M.! Yikes. She doesn't want to upset the fans, so she's been very cordial to everyone. [Personally, I wish some fans would be more respectful of the Cast and Crew. *sigh* 3AM?! Seriously?! There is a free time-zone calculator online, ya know?  -CdL]

News Round-Up: 28 March 2009

Just two items on my round-up today before I go to finish the outline for today's Danag Podcast recording...

More Wolf Sightings! Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz, and Kiowa Gordon have been hanging out at Vancouver as the principal photography for The Twilight Saga: New Moon continues. Click here for photos at LaineyGossip.com and cue in the wolf whistles.

Rob Pattinson was interviewed by AOL Moviefone for the release of his film, Little Ashes. They happened to ask about the rumours going around about crew members complaining about his smell, as well as his alleged injury on the set of New Moon. The answer? He hasn't even been on set yet! Click here to read the full story.

News Round-Up: 27 March 2009

Nikki Reed talks to MTV about Rosalie's and Bella's conflict in New Moon and how much this differs from her real-life relationship with best friend Kristen Stewart.

Celebuzz interviewed Rene Haynes, the casting director who handled the tedious casting of the Native Americans who will be part of the Wolf Pack in New Moon. She talks, specifically, about Chaske Spencer and Alex Meraz, who are rumoured to have landed the roles of Sam and Paul, respectively. Click here to read the full interview, and see a *wow* pic of Alex (if you've seen it before, it can't hurt to see it again.) :p

Police were called to Boston Latin School as rumours spread that vampires were roaming around the school. There is no word if these vampires are handsome and sparkly.

Access Hollywood has a First Look clip of Rob Pattinson from his Little Ashes movie, which will be premiering in the U.S. Thanks to Rachel from Access Hollywood for the tip.

News Round-Up: 24 March 2009

Entertainment Weekly has a list of their favorite Rob Pattinson moments in the Audio Commentary of the Twilight DVD.

Also in Entertainment Weekly: Twilight movie costume designer Wendy Chuck reveals How Edward and Bella Got Their Look.

Nikki Reed will play a transgender woman in her upcoming film with Kristen Stewart, K-11.

Starpulse go on record about their Expectations and Reservations About the Twilight Sequel.
