News Round-Up: November 9, 2009 (New Moon press junkets)

So the New Moon press junkets just happened over the weekend. I'm going to try to backtrack for a bit and keep up with everything...

[Note: I'm going to update this post with links to other articles--there are some entertainment news sites that haven't released all of their content yet--so check back often! I'll be placing an asterisk next to newly added entries from the junket. :) - minamic]

Collider also posted the B-Roll NM Behind the Scenes Footage and 3 Movie Clips. If you want to protect your EQ, the movie clip titles are "Paper Cut", "Jacob's Transformation", and "Volturi Fight". These are also covered in the B-Roll, with a nice itty bitty peek at a Jasper and Alice moment during the birthday scene for fans of that pairing.

Chris Weitz mentioned that there will be 10 minutes of deleted scene footage on the NM DVD here.

On HitFix.com:

On MTV.com:
Behind the scenes New Moon footage and interviews here. (They're basically the same set of onset interviews on Collider but segmented into particular topics.)

MTV covered the kickoff for the New Moon Hot Topic cast tour here, here and here. Watch the video where the cast answers the fans' questions! Highlights: The Twi-love trio introduce the rest of the cast. Kellan Lutz is a real crowd-pleaser and was wearing a Team Emmett shirt! (So cute!) All of them were asked what they would do if they had the night and Hollywood Boulevard to themselves--note: without that huge crowd in the way--and they gave pretty interesting answers... especially Jamie Campbell-Bower. (-wink winks at Ronald-)

Afterwards, check out their other video interviews--with Kellan, Nikki Reed, and Billy Burke--collected on the sidebar on the right.

More NM on the MTV front: what RPattz found when he googled himself, NM stars take over Cali Nordstrom, Anna Kendrick's mini-movie review and new stills from the film!

Five fun facts you didn't know about NM, like that Jake's house was really green and not red, and Chris Weitz's "orientation guide", are here. * Plus, behind the scenes photos from the press junket! *

NYTimes.com has a short article on Taylor titled "New Star Taylor Lautner Rises in New Moon". Check out ETOnline's video feature of Taylor's photoshoot for the December cover of Men's Health magazine!

HisGoldenEyes.com has an exclusive interview with Kristen Stewart. Lovin' how she describes Bella.
"Yeah, the only way that I can play Bella is if I could justify every decision that she made and stand behind it as well as, as much as she did. And the cool thing about New Moon is it is literally taking that and saying “No, sorry! Do you think you know something little girl? You know nothing!” And that’s the story, that’s why she – I mean people call Bella fickle all the time to me; people are always saying like “Oh, you know you’re playing a really immature girl that doesn’t know what she wants and she’s sort of in love with this mythical creature”. It’s like who are you talking to? This girl is willing to put herself through the most asinine – and so not selfish, with a really great perspective. You have to be a pretty strong natured person to do that. And then to, I think in New Moon she becomes sort of hardened and cynical because she’s been told that her whole world that she was willing to spend eternity in was just wrong. And the fact that she can from there, even in the same movie you believe that she’s of the mind to make a decision to go back from that. You have to believe that she’s lived enough and that she’s mature enough and knows herself well enough to make decisions like that. And I feel like in Twilight she doesn’t have that and in New Moon she gains that."

News Round-Up: 06 November 2009

Examiner.com now has the full track list of the score for The Twilight Saga: New Moon from Alexandre Desplat. I guess there's not much guessing here on where most of the tracks will play out based on the titles [we surely had fun hashing the first score over at Danag Ep. 5 - mabelletaka]. Continue to check the site in terms of local availability.

The press pre-screening for The Twilight Saga: New Moon is already over and here's what most of the attendees have tweeted about it (c/o Twilight Lexicon):
“I was very impressed not only by the visual effects and the movie, but by the acting itself. Chris Weitz is bad ass.”

“Just saw New Moon. Better than Twilight and crowd just applauded at end. Leaves on a soap opera sting….”

“@shaunssanctuary just came frm seeing NM.I guess it’s every girl’s dream to have a vampire & werewolf fighting over her!”

“One word: amazing! I was very impressed all around – visuals were stunning. The underwater scene..le sigh. And Summit was fabulous!!”

“ @LarryCarroll: “New Moon” was genuinely awesome. A lot of people are about to be very happy.”
You can also catch the New Moon cast as they embark on their full-swing promotional legs in their various TV appearances. Here's a list of their US schedule from JustJared. Be sure to check the site in terms of local showing schedule.

They also posted an interview with Melissa Rosenberg talking about her favorite scenes in New Moon along with writing the proposal scene.

If you're done ogling over the pictures over at Harper's Bazaar (I can still hear the squeeing), here's a glimpse of its upcoming article on Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in that issue from Extra TV and a feature on these two actors from Harper's Bazaar.

MTV asks the New Moon cast various fan questions sent over to them. Check out the following: Q&A with Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed; Q&A with Kellan Lutz, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Edi Gathegi; and one last Q&A with Kellan Lutz, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Billy Burke.

How so many of you had petitioned for Jodelle to be cast as Jane, and now she gets to work alongside the cast and Dakota Fanning who was cast as Jane for New Moon.

ET: What do you think of the recasting of Rachelle Lefevre?

Melissa Rosenberg: I love Rachelle, but Bryce Dallas Howard? It was a shame, but I think Rachelle will go on to do brilliant things. I just love her. I am sure Bryce will be great.

peterfacinelli: Just finished two hours of fight training for Eclipse. Now if anyone messes with me I can pretend to kick their ass really well.

News Round-Up: 18 June 2009

People Magazine's Hottest Bachelors of 2009 issue hits newsstands this week in the U.S., and guess which of the hot guys in the Twilight cast made it?

First, there's Rob Pattinson, of course, no surprises there. I don't think any of you will believe such a list could exist without Rob, right? He's at the #10 spot on the list.

But the real surprise? Kellan Lutz is higher up on the list at #5, alongside his 90210 castmate, Ryan Eggold!

Who else made the list?
1. Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford
2. Star Trek's Chris Pine [This was totally not predictable. You probably wouldn't see him on this list if Star Trek hadn't come out. But no, I am NOT complaining. Oh, no no no. -CdL]
3. Shia LaBeouf [This one's for you, Daene! -CdL]
4. Adam Lambert [Uh, okay. -CdL]
6. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson [For reals?! -CdL]
7. Brody Jenner
8. Common
9. Taylor Kitsch [This is for you, Rome! LOL. -CdL]

After seeing Cam Gigandet win Best Fight with Rob at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, we here at TCP are really starting to miss seeing Cam on the big screen. But it looks like he's going back to his blood-sucking ways in an upcoming movie adaptation of the comic book entitled Priest, which is "set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires and follows a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece." Cam will be playing one of the murderous band of vampires going up against Paul Bettany as the Priest. Will he be channeling a bit of James? We'll see.
