Twilight Coven Philippines is calling on all Filipino Twilighters to show your support and appreciation for Stephenie Meyer by participating in our
Postcards for Stephenie Project!
Showcase your creativity by making your very own homemade postcard. Write your message to Stephenie on the card, then send it in! Your card will be included in a special Postcard Book that will be sent to Stephenie through her publisher's local representative. We aim to collect 108 postcards by November 2, so encourage all your Twilighter friends to participate as well.
If you're interested in participating in the project, please take note of the following guidelines:
1. Postcards must measure 4.25 inches high by 6 inches wide. All cards must be landscape-oriented.
2. You can use any material to create your postcard, but Board (200-220 gsm) is preferable.
3. Make sure to leave a 1-inch space on the left side of your postcard for the binding -- don't write any part of your message or draw any crucial part of your design on that space. Take note of the orientation and dimensions in guideline #1.
4. You can use any medium to decorate your postcard -- you can paint on it, draw on it, glue pieces of colored paper on it, or create digital designs that you will print on the card -- it's up to you.
5. Use the front side of the card for your main design. Put the "To" (Stephenie Meyer) and "From" (your name) information on this side. No need to put any addresses.
6. Use the other side of the card for your message. Messages should be addressed to Stephenie personally. You can tell her how her works or how she herself has inspired you; you can tell her why you like Twilight and what it means to the Filipino fans; you can share significant stories that happened when you read the Twilight books; you can also tell her that you support her, and if you've read Midnight Sun, you can let her know how much you like it and how you would like to be able to read the whole story someday. Write anything you want, but no negative messages, please -- there is no place for that in this Support Campaign -- we will exclude any cards with negative messages. Make sure your message is written in English.
7. Our object is to be able to collect a minimum of 108 postcards (to correspond to Edward's age this year) by November 2, 2008, but we'll be very happy if we exceed that number. You can keep track of the status of the project on our website. Encourage your friends who are also fans of the Twilight Saga to send their own postcards.
8. You have several options for sending in your postcards: bring them during the designated Drop-Off Dates that will be announced, or you can mail them to us.
