Examiner.com now has the full track list of the score for The Twilight Saga: New Moon from Alexandre Desplat. I guess there's not much guessing here on where most of the tracks will play out based on the titles [we surely had fun hashing the first score over at Danag Ep. 5 - mabelletaka]. Fear.net compiled three of the New Moon clips that have been released the past few days. These contain the extended Bella birthday scene, a BellaxJacob scene, and a featurette on the Volturi. They also posted an interview with Melissa Rosenberg talking about her favorite scenes in New Moon along with writing the proposal scene.

NEW MOON NEWS
Starting the round-up today with a short interview with a TCP-admin favorite. Edi Gathegi talks to VH1 about being on his last Twilight series film, getting to wear SHOES for once, what cardboard animal replaced the fuzzy wolves he had to face, and his one "sparkling" regret.

Though that scene will be Gathegi's last as vampire Laurent, he said he can't be too upset about not returning to the saga. "Honestly, perspective. I'm happy I'm in 'Twilight.' I'm happy I made it to 'New Moon.' Things could be worse."

Thank you, Edi, for portraying Laurent and for having fun with the role, and just for basically being one of the happier cast! :)

People.com has the Volturi up on its site, where Chris Weitz explains his choice of actors to portray the royal trio:

Although Aro and his brothers Marcus (Christopher Heyerdahl) and Caius (Jamie Campbell Bower) have been "alive" for thousands of years, Weitz says he "deliberately" gave them a younger look in the film – for which he credits author Meyer.

"Stephenie was very keen to steer away from a kind of wizard-y look for the vampires," says Weitz. "They do look quite young, but they convey a formality and self-possession, which comes from age."

So I guess this sheds light on the mystery that is JCB's casting?

MTV has a feature on the wolf pack! Kiowa Gordon, Chaske Spencer and hottie Alex Meraz talked about preparing for their roles, the effect of reading blogs, and how things got out-of-hand on the New Moon set.

"I decided, all right, the Wolf Pack stay up all night looking for who's killing people on the res, so we don't sleep very much. So I thought it would be a great idea if I stayed up for 10 days straight." What should have been a simple scene — a confrontation between Bella (Stewart) and the Wolf Pack — became, in Meraz's mind, his "Brando moment." Wanting to try something different, the actor played the scene overly aggressive: screaming, grabbing Stewart by the throat, hurtling his line at her.

"[Director] Chris Weitz comes off-set like, 'Yeah, I like the energy Alex, but just take it down a little,' " Spencer chimed in: "Meanwhile the producers are freaking out back there."

" 'Cause nobody touches Kristen Stewart," joked Meraz.

Kind of intriguing how most of the sites that link to this article (and the title on the page itself) focus on that part. Anyway, more on the wolf pack here.

Also on MTV, Death Cab for Cutie's single on the New Moon OST, "Meet Me on the Equinox", will premiere on MTV.com, the same time as the VMAs.

ECLIPSE NEWS
Eclipse production is really on the move at the moment up in Vancouver, and updates are actually coming in via twitter-friendly director, David Slade.

Twilight Beauty has officially opened its doors... web-wise, at least. The splash page and products look cool and we now have a clearer view of the Volturi crest. The question is, will it sell? (Maybe we should have a local magazine sample the products...)

Jackson Rathbone and the 100 Monkeys might be touring the U.S. after Eclipse wraps according to this news bit.

MTV's Hollywood Crush asks: Is Twilight the ONE movie you would take to the end of the world? Because poll results have yielded a resounding YES. Like the writer, though, we're not so sure that should be the case. (I personally would choose Jim Henson's Storyteller--it's cheating, I know--or Labyrinth. Puppetry is becoming a lost art, and, well, I grew up with the muppets. -minamic) But there are billions of people and lots of movies, so one can bring Twilight and the other billion will take care of the rest. Would you bring Twilight and if not, what movie would you choose to bring, to the end of the world? It's a fun question, so let us know! :)

Oh, to be in Italy in May. Twilight Italia reports that New Moon filming will commence at Montepulciano May 25-29. They've also issued a casting call for extras. The newsbit in english can be read at His Golden Eyes.

Maybe you don't have to be in Italy to be in a Twilight film. Maybe you just have to star in a supposed German TV reality show, as posted by BBC News. Of course, that probably also means you have to be... well... German, first. [minamic: I don't know how the winner is going to make it for New Moon, though, since the show starts June 8. Or maybe it's for Eclipse? And for what role? It sounds fishy to me.]

Lastly on the New Moon front... it's so long Carter Burwell. Alexandre Desplat, the French composer of films such as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and The Queen, as well as Chris Weitz's own The Golden Compass, will be penning the music for the Twilight sequel, according to Upcoming Film Scores. Curiosity wonders if Desplat will be remaking the lullaby, which figures in the first part of the book, or if they'll be scrapping its inclusion altogether.

Want to know more about the man who will be responsible for bringing that oh-so-romantic Cullen proposal to life? MTV gives you the juice on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's director, David Slade. We are intrigued with how he will transition from the gore of 30 Days of Night to the delicacy that is the Twilight universe. [minamic: And like I twitted, Eclipse is my favorite book. So my expectations will be even higher than normal. Just sayin'.]

E! Online predicts the Rob and Kristen romance rumours are about to start again now that New Moon has started filming. Some Twilight cast members weigh in on the issue. Thanks to Mary Grace for the link.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Summit Entertainment is looking to cast Rob in a new film they are producing entitled Memoirs. The film "tells of two lovers whose newfound relationship is threatened as they struggle to deal with family tragedies."

This one made me teary-eyed. The U.S. Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) hosted an event with Peter Facinelli at the Ft. Lewis Post Exchange to celebrate the release of the Twilight DVD with U.S. soldiers and their families. To accommodate the thousands of fans who turned up to see him, he signed autographs, talked to people, shook every soldier's hand in the line, and took photos for 16.5 hours straight. @_@ The event was supposed to last only 2 hours, but Peter insisted on accommodating everyone to show his appreciation to the soldiers. NewMoonMovie.org reports that filming is now underway at the location for Jacob's house. In other filming news, the Eagle Pictures (Italian distributor) website is dispelling the rumours that the film will shoot on location at Montepulciano on May 25-30.

The Twilight Lexicon learned that Michael Welch (Mike Newton) will be appearing in an upcoming episode of C.S.I.

This is probably the most important news of the day: LaineyGossip.com has identified the actors that will make up Jacob's Wolf Pack in New Moon - Chaske Spencer (Sam Uley), Tyson Houseman (Quil Ateara), Alex Meraz (Paul), Kiowa Gordon (Embry Call), Bronson Pelletier (Jared), Tinsel Korey (Emily Young). [Clair de Lune approves of the casting for Emily! And the Oracles of Danag were right about Bronson being Jared. :)]

Some New Moon-related tidbits for y'all as the cast finishes up with rehearsals and leaves Vancouver to prepare for film shoots to start in the coming days.

On MTV News: Edi Gathegi, who reprises his role as Laurent, praised the new script and says the film will be "a lot more active [than Twilight]." It has to be, with werewolves and cliff-jumping, right? Except the latter will be accomplished by a CGI'd Bella, according to costar Kristen Stewart. Yes, no extreme sport-stuntwork for KStew (or her body doubles) this time around. Read the full stories here and here.

And speaking of my favorite Bella, reporters have been sneaking in New Moon-related questions in the middle of Kristen's "Adventureland" (which premiered in the U.S. yesterday) promotions. Youtube has some bits from MaximoTV and EXTRA. In an interview with E! Online, she also expresses her view of her second Twilight movie as: "I can’t wait to see how [Jacob] is able to pull [Bella] out, but he does. She’s like a zombie and he’s the light. It’s such a tragic story. It’s like, ‘That’s who I should be with, but I’m totally in love with the guy I shouldn’t be with.’ Girls are like that. It’s relatable." Of course, topmost on the things she's looking forward to is having Taylor back as Jacob and says they're all "very proud of him." [minamic: I hope this means Kristen will be in her comfort zone with Taylor, and she'll be able to show us the wonderful actress that went into hiding because of her awkwardness with Robert. I'd really love to see how she'll be able to portray her character. New Moon-Bella, with all her emotional incapacities, should be an interesting challenge.]

A fan was able to chat with Peter Facinelli at the recent UK Twilight convention where he comments that Edward will have "better sparkles than in Twilight"! [Yey! *crosses fingers*]

RPattz was at an Arkansas Wal-Mart recently to promote the release of the Twilight DVD, where he relates his own thoughts about New Moon, and says that Edward was "the first time he has played a real masculine character." (You can search for vids of this visit taken by fans up on youtube.) Sadly, I think I read somewhere that he referenced his "unwashed hair" again at the event. Sigh. [Oh Rob. I fangirl you, but we really don't need to hear about that... Again. Jovan and I will wash your hair for you if you visit though.]

Director Chris Weitz was caught hanging out with the wolves, albeit while shopping for cars for his vamps. And, oh my, Taylor is looking mighty fine! Despite the height requirement, he is shaping up to be Jacob quite nicely, no pun intended. RPattz, better not let up on those weights you've just recently started lifting!

On a last note, we'd like to share Vanity Fair's awesome awesome AWESOME photoshoot recreating scenes from The West Side Story. And wouldn't you know it, Twilight enemies Robert Pattinson and Cam Gigandet landed minor roles as part of the Jets, supporting Ben Barnes' main hero, Tony. (Camilla Belle plays Maria.) [Wow. Ben, Cam, and Rob in one pic together! Sorry, Daene. Looks like this was dedicated to us angels. Hehe.] Unfortunately, it's just a shoot, and though Rob and Cam only get background duty, the slight glimpse of them having fun and letting loose is so worth it!

Besides, we can always wait for outtakes.

Forbidden Planet has revealed the new NECA Edward and Bella 7" Action Figure 2-Pack. It is now available for pre-order at Forbidden Planet, and should retail for around £24.99 or PhP1,600.

In related news, the NECA 11.5" Edward Cullen Action Figure is now locally available at 2Rats (with branches in Greenhills, Goldcrest, and Eastwood), and retails for PhP1,200. Thanks to Bjie for the update.

PETA has awarded Twilight the 2008 Libby Award for the Most Animal Friendly Movie, which really boggled a lot of people since the Cullens drink animal blood. [There's probably a different criteria for this, because it's gonna be awkward if it turns out PETA didn't do their research and thought "vegetarian vampire" meant the Cullens eat vegetables.]

HGE is reporting that Summit really seems to be gearing towards shooting New Moon and Eclipse back to back... and with a new director. [Uh... okay. *insert soundtrack of dread here*]

Discussions about the recent announcement regarding Catherine Hardwicke are now ongoing in the TCP Forums. The LA Times weighs in on what this decision means for the New Moon movie and the possible reasons behind the decision in the first place. Rob was also in the Tyra Banks Show, and they up the ante in this show when they held a pie-eating contest among fans to determine who will win a "Twilight memorabilia"... which turned out to be a silver Volvo C30 Sports Coupe! It was won by 18-year-old Tiffany Kuhne. [Oh. My. Carlisle.]

In the tradition of their Movie Drinking Games, here's Film School Rejects' list for Twilight. [Drinking is illegal for minors, okay?] In addition, the Rejects are also speculating if Twilight will succeed despite the lack of critic praise.

I've been saying this for some time now: Edi Gathegi, Rachelle Lefevre, and Taylor Lautner, when they sit together for interviews, never disappoint. Here's one more video evidence to add to that declaration. The trio was interviewed at the Mall of America recently for a radio show... watch Rachelle charm her way into making Edi and Taylor sing a Miley Cyrus song for the camera.

Bloody-Disgusting Horror News spoke to Catherine Hardwicke, and the director revealed a few more details about the Twilight DVD and Blu-Ray release next year.

"I’ve seen the sparkle scene on Blu-ray, and it looks really great. I was worried how that would translate. We are looking into to going back to ILM and pushing that scene a little further for the Blu-ray disc. We have about a dozen deleted or extended scenes to put on the DVD, and I made a couple crazy montages of all the times the vampires kiss or attack someone and of all the human hijinx, and I’ve done a visual remix of the movie for the DVD also."

BAE is reporting that Peter Facinelli will be on Chelsea Lately tonight in the US. Chelsea Lately airs locally on ETC at 10:30PM on weekdays, so we can probably expect this episode to air on Monday, November 24. So there are two shows to watch out for on Monday: Peter on Chelsea Lately, and Rob on Ellen!

Yahoo! Movies writes about the fans' "sky-high hopes" for the film, and wonders if this will all translate to a box office performance that will suck the blood out of Disney's Bolt and Quantum of Solace. [Sky-high hopes, haha! "Sky High" = Michael Angarano = Kristen Stewart. Haha! Don't mind me, just trying to keep myself from falling asleep here... I mean, come on, Twilight will make a killing in the box office. In the off-chance (and I do mean really off-chance) it doesn't debut at #1, it will still make enough to make the sequels. So yeah, more fodder for the Twilight Saga haters, more fun for the fans!]

I always look forward to reading or watching interviews with Taylor Lautner, Rachelle Lefevre, and Edi Gathegi, and here's another one courtesy of MTV that just cracks me up. Good thing my boss isn't here, or he'll be wondering what happened to me! The video version of this interview is here (3 parts).

Gathegi: [Laughing] Do you have any questions from "Fueled by Edward"?

MTV: I know how much you love the MTV Twilighters' screen names, Edi. I was actually gonna ask a question from "IWantEdiGathegisBaby123@yahoo.com." But if each of you guys could pick a theme song for your character, what's the song?

Gathegi: [Starts singing Isaac Hayes' "Theme From Shaft"] Who is the man? Shaft!

MTV: Shut yo' mouth! I'm just talkin' about Laurent.

Gathegi: He's a bad motha'... Shut yo' mouth!

Lefevre: Oh my God, I'm gonna have to say [Ram Jam's] "Black Betty." Yeah, there's just something about that — it's got a good rock beat. I like it, and it goes with [Victoria's] slow-mo walking.

Lautner: This has nothing to do with my character [laughs], but I just think it'd be cool when I walked onscreen [if they played] the "Cops" theme song, "Bad Boys."

Lefevre: Really?

Lautner: Yeah, I just think it'd be cool if I walked onscreen and you heard [singing] "Whatcha gonna do when they come for you ..."

Gathegi: That has nothing to do with your character.

Lautner: I know, it's totally opposite. OK, how about "Who Let the Dogs Out"?

Lautner and Gathegi: [Both laughing] Who let the dogs out? Woof, woof, woof [they start to bark].

Lefevre: Oh God.

Gathegi: Yeah, we just did that.

US Weekly reports that US President-Elect Barack Obama is bonding with his daughter over Twilight. No, this is not a joke. :p

Twilight fan Laura Culpepper was once again invited by MTV to interview Rob Pattinson. Some funny highlights:

Culpepper: Your co-stars Kellan [Lutz] and Nikki [Reed] recently accused you of running like a mountain goat. How do you feel about that?
Pattinson: A mountain goat? [Laughs.] I would have said that I run more like a cheese string.
Culpepper: Is it goat cheese?
Pattinson: Yes, it's a goat-cheese string. What does a mountain goat run like? That is much more athletic than the way I run. I run like a person who has just had their limbs sewn together. I'm not even like a human.

Culpepper: Well, you were just in Rome, weren't you?
Pattinson: I was, but I was just literally going to planned mobbings. I just keep doing that. It gives you a very strange opinion of yourself. You just go to different cities everywhere and it's a series of different, planned mobbings. [Laughs.] But it's fun.

Kellan Lutz: "He sucks at anything athletic. He cannot throw a ball and run. Like it's funny, we had a running scene in the movie and I can't believe how much faster I am than him. And by the time I'd got to where we had to get, I'd turn around and I'd see him trying to run. Like I've never seen someone try to run. But he's very talented in everything else. I mean he's a brilliant musician and that's something I'm not. So where I have athleticism, he has that talent."

If you can hear buzzing, that's probably because Twilight is pretty much everywhere, and once again, we wouldn't be surprised if Twilight breaks the Internet. There's so much news, I am typing this fearing for my Google Chrome. I have so many tabs opened, I hope poor Chrome can still take it and doesn't crash on me. *takes a deep breath* Here we go.

MTV has a feature on Vampires, where they survey how Buffy, True Blood, The Dark Path Chronicles, 30 Days of Night, and Twilight stack up against each other. Not that there should be comparisons, really. There's room to enjoy all of those, and each has something special to offer. (Personally, I'm really hooked on True Blood right now. :D )

The Twilight Lexicon has a great interview with master dollmaker, Robert Tonner. Mr. Tonner described the process of making the incredible dolls that Tonner Dolls sells. I've read them all. “Breaking Dawn”? I finished that in two days. I have to tell you, every time I finished one of them, a little piece of me died. I’d become invested in that world. I really felt sad. After the fourth one, I was like, ‘What am I going to do with my life.’

TCP's friend in Plurk, katatonia, sent us a link to this Google Trends page showing how Robert Pattinson's popularity on the Internet has skyrocketed starting from the time he was cast in Twilight. And, we're not sure why, but in the Regions section, we're seeing the Philippines on the number one spot. Does that mean Filipinos just keep googling Robert? I really wouldn't be surprised. Apart from his stint in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, not too many Filipino Twilight fans really knew a lot about Robert and his work before the casting announcement, that's why there's so much interest in him. Well, everyone knows who he is now! :)
