The New Moon Movie Tie-In Mass Market Paperback is now available at National Bookstore for P295.00.

What's the difference between this edition and the Trade Paperback? Basically just the cover and the size of the book... oh and of course, the price (Trade PB is P439.00). That's the superficial answer. If you're wondering about the real difference in publishing parlance, click here. :P

Good news! The New Moon Collector's Edition is now available locally. It has been spotted at Fully Booked North Edsa and retails for Php1199. This is a copy of New Moon in a slipcase along with a cloth cover, ribbon bookmark, and two-color chapter openers.

UPDATE (10/5): Powerbooks is offering the book for pre-order for only P485.00 as per their website. The price is a bit too low for the movie companion, which usually retails for P600 and up, so if you're reserving through Powerbooks, you may want to call their customer service and confirm the price first. We have received word that there are already copies of the New Moon Illustrated Movie Companion in stock in Fully Booked. It retails for Php798. Though we're not sure when the official release will be, better reserve a copy at once since we all know that copies run out really fast based from last year.

The Twilight Journals are now available in National Bookstore branches for Php985 for all 4 journals inside a tin box. For Laking National cardholders, you can get a 20% off from the retail price (Php788) during their promo period (September 1-30, 2009). More information about the promo here.

Just a little note regarding Twilight: Director's Notebook. It is currently available at National Book Store for Php719.00. But when you pay at the cashier, they'll take 10% off, so as NBS previously told us, you only have to pay Php647.10. The promo is until April 26 only. Thanks to co-admin Mabelle for the tip.

If you guys are looking to complete your Twilight Saga collection, we suggest you take advantage of the numerous stocks available in most major bookstores. They've already stocked both hardbound and paperback copies. Why are we saying this? Because we've been informed by a reliable source that the next batch of imported books will most likely be priced higher than they are now. Why? Taxes on imported books have apparently increased. :( More info on this issue as we get them.

UPDATE: National Book Store Marketing just sent us an email. Twilight: Director's Notebook is now available at NBS for only Php647.10. TCP Reader Symba left a comment to report that Twilight: Director's Notebook by Catherine Hardwicke is available at selected Powerbooks stores. So far, we know Megamall (they just ran out!), Alabang Town Center and Greenbelt 4 (also ran out as of today) has them. Php685.00

TCP Reader evivneg says the April issue of GQ Magazine with Rob on the cover is now available at bookstores and magazine shops. Php425.00

Nowhere in sight despite the announced March 17 release date. We'll ask Warner about this. Now available in some Odyssey branches (spotted at Gateway and Rockwell Powerplant).

There are reports that shipments for this item might come in as late as September. (Thanks to Jerica for the report.) We also heard that some publishers / importers / stores have put book shipments on hold because of Customs Issues (i.e. there seems to be a significant increase in taxes on imported books). This is probably why there aren't a lot of new stocks of books spotted in stores lately. We heard this from a reliable source, but we couldn't find any announcement or article that we can link to to give more info. We're just passing on what we heard. If you're looking to get a hold of the soundtrack today, we've been informed that there is a slight delay in the delivery of the CDs to the stores. We advise that you check back on Wednesday or Thursday this week. Or, you can always request to reserve a copy via your favorite music stores, and just ask them to inform you when the CD is delivered.

Again, the CD is PhP450, and it will be available in ALL music stores.

UPDATE: Warner Music Philippines will also be distributing Twilight: The Score. It'll be out, hopefully, at the end of the month, or early December.

We've been getting so many questions about the new Twilight Saga books, so we're compiling all the information we've gathered about them so far.

Hachette Book Group USA (Philippines) has informed us that the Movie Tie-In Editions of Twilight are now available in most bookstores. The Mass Market Paperback Edition is less expensive (approx. PhP288) and is the size of regular pocketbooks. The Trade Paperback Edition (approx. PhP358) is printed in a bigger format like the original Twilight books, and has a pull-out poster included. The Movie Tie-In Editions have the same text as the regular editions.






"Twilight: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion" is available for pre-orders/reservations (price should be above PhP800) in most major bookstores. It is currently shipping to the Philippines, and stocks are expected to arrive by the end of October.




We will post about the upcoming releases for "Twilight: Collector's Edition" (available for pre-order) and "The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide", which are both expected to be released in December, when we have more information.

UPDATE (Oct. 18): For those who have been asking... "Twilight: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion" will be available locally, but we don't know when. We do know that some stores have indicated there will only be limited quantities. We suggest you call or visit your favorite bookstore and make a reservation so that the store will be sure to order for you. Its retail price in the US is $16.99, so expect the local price to be higher than 800 pesos. The "Twilight: Collector's Edition" is not going to be widely available, but you can order them through your favorite bookstores as well.

The "Twilight" Movie Tie-In Edition is now available locally in Fully Booked Gateway, and we assume that this is also the case in other Fully Booked branches. Both trade paperback and mass-market paperback versions are available (priced at Php358 and Php288 respectively). Please check other branches for availability, because as we all know, the Twilight Saga books get sold out fast.

For those who are curious, the movie tie-ins have covers with images from the Twilight film, but there is no difference in the text between these and the regular editions of Twilight.
