BellaandEdward.com finally has photos of the Inkworks Twilight Trading Cards Pieceworks set in their gallery.

The Hollywood Reporter has a very revealing interview with Summit Entertainment bigwigs Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger. The duo talked about how Twilight has changed the company, as well as more details about Summit and their projects. They also made clarifications about the Catherine Hardwicke issue. We also finally have confirmation that the budget for New Moon is bigger than Twilight's:

THR: Will "New Moon" stay in the same $38 million budget range?

Friedman: No. The next one will be higher than that. We believe that the film will naturally be more expensive. Sequels become more expensive, and we have more special effects.

Wachsberger: And locations. In the second movie there is a sequence in Italy.

THR: There is talk that because Edward is out of the picture for much of "New Moon," there will be elements of the second and third books combined into the second movie.

Wachsberger: No, but Edward is present for the movie.

The budget is bigger, but don't expect New Moon and the rest of the Twilight Saga to turn into mega-budget blockbusters just yet. Later in the interview, Rob Friedman said:

Friedman: Are we gonna be in the $100 million-plus production business? No.

Oh well....

Access Hollywood sent us links to new Twilight articles on their site. Thank you to Rachel of Access Hollywood/NBC! Ashley Greene reveals that Rob Pattinson got in trouble for his new haircut. She said she still loved his old haircut, but would cut him some slack. ;) Meanwhile, in another twist to the Vanessa Hudgens New Moon Audition Mystery [I feel like I should call in Agent Olivia Dunham to check this out now...] AH is reporting that their sources at Summit Entertainment confirmed that Vanessa actually did audition, and that "she's up for the role".

Whaaat?! Let's do a recap: Ashley Greene said she didn't know that Vanessa Hudgens auditioned for New Moon but said she'd love to work with V. Then MTV reported that Ashley confirmed that Vanessa did audition. Everyone got confused, so JustJaredJr. asked Vanessa's rep, who said they didn't know anything about a New Moon audition. Entertainment Weekly's sources say that no audition happened. And now, Access Hollywood says sources at Summit confirmed that Vanessa did audition.

So what's the real deal? Well, The Twilight Lexicon decided to go straight to scriptwriter Melissa Rosenberg to ask. Melissa's reply?

If Vanessa is auditioning for the role of Leah, she’s written her own pages to read, ’cause I didn’t write ‘em.

That should put the rumours to rest... for now. Leah Clearwater isn't in New Moon (or at least, there are no speaking parts).

If you can hear buzzing, that's probably because Twilight is pretty much everywhere, and once again, we wouldn't be surprised if Twilight breaks the Internet. There's so much news, I am typing this fearing for my Google Chrome. I have so many tabs opened, I hope poor Chrome can still take it and doesn't crash on me. *takes a deep breath* Here we go.

MTV has a feature on Vampires, where they survey how Buffy, True Blood, The Dark Path Chronicles, 30 Days of Night, and Twilight stack up against each other. Not that there should be comparisons, really. There's room to enjoy all of those, and each has something special to offer. (Personally, I'm really hooked on True Blood right now. :D )

The Twilight Lexicon has a great interview with master dollmaker, Robert Tonner. Mr. Tonner described the process of making the incredible dolls that Tonner Dolls sells. He also revealed that the Bella and Edward dolls will be coming out during the first quarter of 2009, and is expected to sell for $150. Click here to read the full interview.

It's 22 days to go before Twilight is released in the US *sniff, sniffle* and the LA Times has posted today's installment of their Twilight Countdown. This time, they have a feature on Edi Gathegi, and wouldn't you know it, he's a hardcore Twilighter!

I've read them all. “Breaking Dawn”? I finished that in two days. I have to tell you, every time I finished one of them, a little piece of me died. I’d become invested in that world. I really felt sad. After the fourth one, I was like, ‘What am I going to do with my life.’

TCP's friend in Plurk, katatonia, sent us a link to this Google Trends page showing how Robert Pattinson's popularity on the Internet has skyrocketed starting from the time he was cast in Twilight. And, we're not sure why, but in the Regions section, we're seeing the Philippines on the number one spot. Does that mean Filipinos just keep googling Robert? I really wouldn't be surprised. Apart from his stint in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, not too many Filipino Twilight fans really knew a lot about Robert and his work before the casting announcement, that's why there's so much interest in him. Well, everyone knows who he is now! :)

Inkworks has unveiled the list of the PIECEWORKS® Cards in their Twilight series. There are 12 different cards with fabric samples from the costumes worn in the movie. It'll be difficult to find them, since only 1 card in every shipping box is guaranteed, and these are available only in packs sold at hobby and comic stores. The LA Times spoke to Robert Pattinson about his songs that are included in the Twilight soundtrack. Rob said that Catherine Hardwicke decided to include his songs after listening to a CD that was given to her.

“When I went to see the cut, she’d put these two songs in. They’re old songs, but one of them specifically, it really made the scene better. It was like it was supposed to be there. It’s strange because what was supposed to be at that point in the movie was a big orchestral film climax. Instead it’s this little song with acoustic guitar. I’m singing it, maybe that makes it different, but it’s kind of overwhelming. I hope it’s overwhelming.”

Lastly. The 7-inch Edward Cullen action figure is now available for pre-order at Forbidden Planet. The FP site does not have information on who the manufacturer of the figure is, and NECA still hasn't updated their site to indicate that they have already acquired the license for Twilight. We'll post more information on this as we get them.

Inkworks has posted new information and preview images of the soon-to-be-released Twilight Movie Premium Trading Cards. There will be 72 basic cards, at least 4 bonus cards, and several autograph cards. These will be sold in 6-card packs, and are due to be released in the U.S. next month.
