This is Clair de Lune bringing you this morning's news.

The people who listened to Danag Podcast Episode 15 will (hopefully) remember that I personally had issues with Edward being at the foreground of the lovely New Moon teaser poster. That's not to say I didn't like the poster - I did! - it's just that I'm too conscious about how the central relationships and characters in New Moon are portrayed in the movie. However, as long as the poster was able to relay what New Moon is all about, I was okay with it. So yes, I was okay with it. :p

But lookie what Entertainment Weekly just revealed: the New Moon Movie Tie-In book cover!



While this cover is not quite as dramatic as the teaser poster, this proves, at least to me, that a New Moon poster can work without Edward in the foreground and still convey a lot about the story. And as we predicted in Danag Episode 15, if they ever come up with a more Bella/Jacob-centric poster, it will be to hype up the Bella/Jacob "relationship". Oh, and look, Mabs, the wolves in the background, just like you wanted! ;) Chalk another one up for the Oracles of Danag. ;)

UPDATE (11:15AM): We found another movie tie-in cover, this time courtesy of NewMoonMovie.org from a link sent to us by TCP reader, Jerica (thank you!). If my suspicions are correct, the first cover above is for the Trade Paperback edition of the Movie Tie-In, while this second cover is for the Mass Market Paperback edition of the Movie Tie-In. As you will recall, Little, Brown also published two versions of the Movie Tie-In for Twilight, and the Trade Paperback one also had a poster included. We will be contacting Hachette Book Group USA (Phils.) to confirm, but I'm almost certain that this is the case. :)

UPDATE (3:00PM): Hachette Book Group USA (Phils.) confirmed that the 1st cover is for the Trade Paperback edition, and the second is for the Mass Market Paperback edition. Philippine release dates to be announced soon.

NEW MOON PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHY UPDATES: Twilight Gossip has photos of Bella's truck with the old motorcycles she will bring to Jacob for rehab. Click here to see the pics. Spoiler TV has some set photos from the cliff diving scene shoots at Incinerator Rock in Tofino, British Columbia. The Canadian Press also has a substantial report about the shoot at Tofino here.

Twilighters Italia has confirmation from the Tourism Association of Montepulciano in Italy that New Moon will be shooting there from May 25 to May 30. There has been talk from a few weeks back that Montepulciano will serve as an alternative location for the Volterra scenes in New Moon. Montepulciano's architecture looks a lot like Volterra's, and it's possible that the city has more resources to cater to a film crew as large as New Moon's compared to Volterra. Montepulciano is apparently also more accessible. Twilighters Italia's report adds that it is still possible certain scenes will be shot in Volterra itself. Amazon.com is selling a 2010 Robert Pattinson Wall Calendar. Oh, man, 1/2 of another Oracles of Danag prophecy comes true. *facepalm*

This is probably the most important news of the day: LaineyGossip.com has identified the actors that will make up Jacob's Wolf Pack in New Moon - Chaske Spencer (Sam Uley), Tyson Houseman (Quil Ateara), Alex Meraz (Paul), Kiowa Gordon (Embry Call), Bronson Pelletier (Jared), Tinsel Korey (Emily Young). [Clair de Lune approves of the casting for Emily! And the Oracles of Danag were right about Bronson being Jared. :)]

Lucky students of Santa Monica High School were treated to a "lesson" with Catherine Hardwicke and Edi Gathegi as part of promotions for Catherine's book, Twilight: Director's Notebook. Click here to read the full story.

Back in one of the early Danag Podcast episodes we mentioned, jokingly, of course, that someone somewhere will probably think of making a musical out of Twilight. We swear we only heard about this project now.

We kinda wanted to hit ourselves on the head with a crystal ball after we joked about Paris Hilton being in New Moon, because now there are rumours floating around about her wanting to be in the cast.

And now this. The Oracles are on a roll!

Twilight the Musical is an unauthorized production, which will debut on March 13th over YouTube. It is produced by Gliff Productions and will feature original music and songs.

More sites have picked up the news items about the line-up of possible Eclipse directors. MTV has written about Juan Antonio Bayona and they want your opinion, while Deadline Hollywood Daily seems pretty sure Bayona is IT.

Nikki Reed shares her Twilight hair and make-up woes and reveals she probably won't be dying her hair for New Moon.

MTV has some exclusive footage from the upcoming Twilight DVD. Once again, this will be out locally starting March 20. Video and record stores are now accepting reservations, and are giving away posters to those who reserve early.

PinkIsTheNewBlog reports on Paris Hilton's alleged desire to be part of the New Moon cast. [If this turns out to be true, it will be yet another prophecy by the Oracles of Danag (listen to Episode 12) that was fulfilled. We hope we are wrong. :p -CdL]
